A collection of 90’s memories - extremely biased by my own personal perspective and very focused on Hanson.

Back in the prehistoric days of 1997, when the internet was a wild, uncharted jungle and AOL ruled the land, Hanson decided to break new ground by creating their very own website—Hansonline. Yep, three teenagers, famous for their catchy tunes and golden locks, ventured into the tech world to bring fans a slice of Hanson heaven on the web. It was like the holy grail for fans, who couldn’t wait to refresh their dial-up connections just to see what the boys were up to.

Hansonline wasn’t just a website—it was an experience. The site featured all the essentials: photos, tour dates, and even a guestbook (remember those?). Fans would pour their hearts out in the guestbook, hoping the brothers might just read their messages. Of course, the design was classic 90s web aesthetics—loud colors, flashy text, and graphics that took ages to load. But hey, it was the 90s; we didn’t know any better, right?

Of course, Hansonline also had a Merchandise page. You could deck yourself out in Hanson gear from head to toe—T-shirts, posters, CDs, you name it. The site made it easy for fans to part with their hard-earned allowance money, all in the name of Hanson devotion. And let’s be honest, who didn’t want to show off their Hanson love with a giant poster on their bedroom wall?

So, Hansonline was more than just a website. It was a way of life for Hanson fans—a place where they could come together, share their love for the band, and wait endlessly for content to load. It might seem quaint now, but back then, Hansonline was cutting-edge, a beacon of fan interaction in a world still figuring out what the internet was supposed to be.

In the future, Hansonline.com would become Hanson.net – which is the official website to this day. But even Hanson.net has its early years and we’ll explore that jam in a bit.

Here’s a preview of our favorite hanson store for 2003.
